ePages.net, today announced it has retained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program with competencies in Information Worker Solutions (SharePoint), Custom Development Solutions, Microsoft Business Solutions (CRM) and ISV/Software Solutions, recognizing ePages.net’s expertise and impact in the technology marketplace.

As a Gold Certified Partner, ePages.net has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and a proven ability to meet customers’ needs. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits, including access, training and support, giving them a competitive advantage in the channel.

As one of the requirements for attaining Gold Certified Partner status, ePages.net had to declare a Microsoft Competency. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner’s capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. Each Competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the technology industry.

Within select Competencies, there are Specializations that focus on specific solution areas that recognize deeper expertise within that Competency. Serving as a specialized path to earning those Competencies, Specializations give direct access to the tools and resources that support that specific area of focus.

ePages’ Competencies in Detail

Competency: Microsoft Business Solutions

The Microsoft Business Solutions Competency is designed for partners with proven expertise in designing and/or implementing enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities using Microsoft’s financial, CRM and supply chain management solutions. Microsoft solutions partners have capitalized on this opportunity to help organizations develop and build integrated ERP and CRM solutions around Microsoft technology. The Microsoft Business Solutions Competency allows partners to identify their unique, proven proficiency in deploying applications based on Microsoft’s financial, CRM and supply chain management solutions.

“The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Specialization equips partners with a heightened degree of expertise, tools and resources designed to help them accelerate their business success and drive improved customer satisfaction,” said Brad Wilson, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. “Attaining specialization sets partners apart and demonstrates a commitment to mastering the latest technology, best practices, and go-to-market guidance Microsoft has to offer.”

Competency: ISV/Software Solutions

The ISV/Software Solutions Competency recognizes the skill and focus partners bring to a particular solution set. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners that have obtained this competency have a successful record of developing and marketing packed software based on Microsoft technologies.

 “Solutions competencies are an important way for Microsoft to better enable ISVs to meet customer needs,” said Walid Abu-Hadba, corporate vice president of the Developer and Platform Evangelism Group at Microsoft Corp. “They allow ISVs to keep and win customers through their deep knowledge of solutions-based Microsoft platform technologies. Microsoft has a long history of working closely with ISV partners to help them deliver compelling solutions and applications to our mutual customers, and the Microsoft Competencies are an important step in continuing to enhance vital relationships with ISVs worldwide.”


Competency: Information Worker Solutions

The Information Worker Solutions competency is for partners that have demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft information worker technologies. These partners are equipped to address key customer challenges by developing solutions and deploying services based on the 2007 Microsoft Office system and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. Specializations within this competency include Search, Data Visualization, Enterprise Project Management, Portals and Collaboration, Office Solutions Development, Enterprise Content Management, and Office Systems Deployment.

 “Partners play a critical role in delivering solutions and applications to customers leveraging the Microsoft Office system,” said Jigish Avalani, managing director, Microsoft IW Partner Ecosystem. “The value of solutions competencies is that they enable Microsoft to deliver resources and training to partners meeting their customer needs. And for partners, the opportunity to highlight their expertise to customers is tremendous in the growing information worker solutions market.”

Competency: Custom Development Solutions

The Custom Development Solutions competency is designed for partners that specialize in demand generation, technical and sales learning opportunities, and early adopter initiatives across Microsoft developer technologies, with an emphasis on Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. These partners deliver focused value for specific communities of developer partners through Application Infrastructure Development, Smart Client Development and Web Development. 

 “Our developer partners enable us to deliver high-quality solutions and applications to our customers,” said Joe Marini, Director, Development Tools Ecosystem at Microsoft Corp. “As the demand for applications built on the Microsoft platform continues to grow, there are more opportunities for providers of custom-developed applications than ever. The Custom Development Solutions Competency provides partners with a way to showcase their expertise delivering custom-built solutions to customers, to enhance partners’ revenue opportunities and positioning them for growth.”
